Prepping Your Skin for Skin Wand Pro Nano Pen: A Comprehensive Guide

Before embarking on your journey with the Skin Wand Pro Nano Pen (SWP), it is crucial to prepare your skin adequately to ensure optimal results and to address specific concerns such as hyperpigmentation. Prepping your skin includes incorporating a melanin suppressor into your skincare routine, such as Arbutin, Kojic Acid, or Hydroquinone, to effectively combat hyperpigmentation and achieve a more even skin tone during and after SWP at-home treatments.

Understanding Melanin and Hyperpigmentation

Melanin is the pigment responsible for the color of our skin. However, an overproduction of melanin can lead to hyperpigmentation, causing dark spots, uneven skin tone, and discoloration. Preparing your skin with a melanin suppressor prior to using the SWP nano pen can help address these issues at the source.

Melanin Suppressors: Arbutin, Kojic Acid, and Hydroquinone

  1. Arbutin: Derived from the bearberry plant, Arbutin is known for its skin-brightening properties. It works by inhibiting the production of melanin, making it an effective ingredient for addressing hyperpigmentation.

  2. Kojic Acid: This natural compound is derived from various fungi and is valued for its ability to lighten skin and fade dark spots. Kojic acid works by inhibiting the production of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in melanin production.

  3. Hydroquinone: Although a potent melanin suppressor, it's important to use hydroquinone under the guidance of a dermatologist due to its strength. It works by lightening the skin and reducing the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

The 20-30 Day Prepping Period

It is recommended to incorporate a melanin suppressor, such as Arbutin, Kojic Acid, or Hydroquinone, into your skincare routine for at least 20-30 days before commencing your SWP nano pen journey. This duration allows the melanin suppressor to effectively cut off hyperpigmentation at its source, preparing your skin for the subsequent treatments with the SWP nano pen.

Benefits of Pre-Treatment with Melanin Suppressors

  1. Even Skin Tone: Prepping your skin with melanin suppressors helps in achieving a more even skin tone, which is essential for enhancing the results of SWP at-home treatments.

  2. Prevention of Hyperpigmentation: By addressing hyperpigmentation at its source, the pre-treatment helps in preventing its recurrence, leading to long-term benefits for your skin.

In conclusion, prepping your skin with a melanin suppressor, such as Arbutin, Kojic Acid, or Hydroquinone, before using the Skin Wand Pro Nano Pen is a proactive approach to address hyperpigmentation and achieve a more even skin tone. This informative and educational pre-treatment sets the foundation for a successful SWP nano pen journey, ensuring that you reap the full benefits of at-home skincare treatments.

That is great question. Our Hydrabright has natural melanin suppressors in it. Those being both Vitamin C and Arbutin.
